Ahhh, summer in Annapolis -live music mingled with warm breezes,
colorful spinnakers spilling into the harbor and sunset turning into
a star-lit night while floating down the Severn River. Wednesday,
May 26, 2004 will mark the beginning of the third season for the
Watermark Cruises and WRNR Rock'N'River music series onboard the
Annapolis Harbor icon, Harbor Queen. Boarding begins at 7:30 PM at
Annapolis City Dock for the 8-11PM live music cruise with Citizen
Cope. Tickets are $27. Reservations can be made by calling
410-268-7601 x 104.
Citizen Cope (Clarence Greenwood and his band) will be performing
material from Greenwood's forthcoming RCA album "The Clarence
Greenwood Sessions." The album is due out in August and
includes his brand new single "Bullet and a Target" which
is currently being played on WRNR.
A special blend of blues, folk, hip-hop, country, soul, and funk,
Citizen Cope can be classified as alternative pop/rock/jam band.
Born in Memphis, the multi-talented Greenwood plays keyboard and
guitar, sings and writes and produces. In the early 90's he was DJ
for rapper Basehead and opened for the Beastie Boys. This past
September Citizen Cope toured in Europe with Santana. Visit
www.citizencope.com for pictures and more about the band and the
man.
Deanna Bogart will kick off the WRNR's Damian's Blues Cruise on
June 9. Last year tickets sold out early for the Deanna Bogart
cruise. For complete schedule for the both WRNR music cruise series
please see the attached flier.
