Pirates and Dogs Unite for a Good Cause
Watermark – the premier tour, charter and cruise company of Annapolis has partnered with Paws Pet Boutique, Tails of Hope and Loews Annapolis Hotel for their second annual Pirate Pet Parade.
Dogs and Humans are invited to dress in their favorite pirate attire and parade on stage at Annapolis City Dock during the Maritime Heritage Festival. The master of ceremonies will be Watermark’s pirate – Marcus Waters. The event takes place on Sunday May 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM. A registration contribution of $20.00 will support Tails of Hope, a non-profit organization that rescues shelter animals that are in trouble. Participants who register will receive a human t-shirt and a pirate bandana for their pet.
All who promenade the stage will be eligible for prizes. Some of the prize categories include the Salty Dog Award for the feistiest dog, Barkaneer Award for the most talkative canine, and the Captain Jack Sparrow award for the most pirate-like dog. Participant’s names will also be entered to win a variety of raffle prizes including a 1 night stay at Loews Annapolis Hotel for a human and their dog.
