ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND - "Your Morning" viewers will be waking up to Annapolis and Anne Arundel County when CN8, The Comcast Network's "Your Morning" program launches the "Nissan Waterfront Tour" live from Annapolis City Dock on Wednesday, June 27, from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00am.
While nine-million households from Maine to Virginia and Washington, D.C. will have an opportunity to watch the show on television, the Annapolis and Anne Arundel county conference and Visitors Bureau is inviting area residents, business owners, and visitors to grab a chair or hop in a boat and head to City Dock to be a part of the morning's festivities. More than two dozen local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and performers will be providing family crafts, entertainment, and giveaways designed to get everyone's morning off to a great start.
Televised from aboard Watermark's Catherine Marie, the launch will feature a variety of segments focusing on the history, sailing, dining, and accommodations that make America's Sailing Capital such a popular destination. In addition to pre-taped segments, the show will feature live coverage of the U.S. Naval Academy's Induction Day, a Pet Fashion Show coordinated by Paws Pet Boutique, and a Men's Fashion Show produced by Laurence Clothing. Brice Phillips of Phillips Seafood Restaurants will demonstrate the fine art of properly picking a Maryland Blue Crab, and the Positive Vibrations Youth Steel Orchestra will provide entertainment throughout the three-hour program.
Other special guests and segments that will be showcased in the "Nissan Waterfront Tour" Annapolis broadcast include:
- Annapolis Mayor Ellen Moyer declaring June 27 "Your Morning" Day
- Maryland State Senator John Astle discussing issues on the minds of Marylanders
- WRNR-FM playing live music throughout the morning
- Annapolis Ice Cream Company creating and serving a unique "Your Morning" flavor for the audience to enjoy
- Louie, the lovable Bowie Baysox Minor League Baseball team mascot, and several Baysox players cheering on the "Your Morning" broadcast
- Fractured Prune Donut Shoppe satisfying television audience hunger with piping hot donuts
- Trash or Treasure? Art historian Dr. Lori conducting onsite art appraisals
- Magician Eric Henning mystifying the audience with his live performances

Food isn't the only thing that early risers can expect to find at City Dock during the "Nissan Waterfront Tour" launch. Young and old will enjoy a variety of crafts, activities, and information including:

Annapolis is the first of four destinations to be highlighted in "Your Morning's" four-month "Nissan Waterfront Tour" that focuses on renowned settings from Maine to Virginia that are ideally located at the water's edge. Additional waterfront specials will air from Ocean City, New Jersey/Ocean City, Maryland; the New England Aquarium at Boston's Central Wharf, and Baltimore's Inner Harbor. |
