WATERMARK ANNOUNCES WINNER OF THE $25,000 WEDDING CONTEST
(Annapolis, MD) – On Friday, May 14th, the Watermark In Love Wedding Contest, held in conjunction with the city wide promotion, Annapolis in Love, ended, and the grand prize, valued at over $25,000, was awarded to a Kristen Carroll and her fiancé David Parsons of Westminster, MD.
Kristen is currently enrolled as a nursing student at York College of Pennsylvania, works at Carol Hospital as a patient care technician and is completing a nurse internship at Shock Trauma. Kristen met David, who works for Ambassador Services, at a party thrown by a mutual friend on July 12th of 2009, and according to both, it was love at first sight. The next year, David proposed to Kristen on her birthday in front of Cinderella’s Castle in Disneyworld. She called that moment the “best moment of her life.” They have been planning for a wedding sometime after she finished school in May.
Kristen was thrilled when she learned about the Watermark In Love wedding contest through an email sent by one of the contest partners, Intrigue Design & Décor. About winning the contest Kristen said: “We are looking forward to the wedding. My mom and I are very excited and cannot thank Watermark enough.”
When it came time to break the news to the couple, Watermark’s staff huddled around one of the office phones as Brian Cleary, Director of Sales for Watermark dialed the number. Mr. Cleary said: “Kristen’s enthusiasm and excitement was contagious, and the staff soon became as excited as the couple.” Watermark couldn’t be happier for the deserving couple and is pleased to be able to help make their dream wedding come to fruition. “We may have had more fun with the contest than the contestants!” said Debbie Gosselin, President of Watermark. We’re looking forward to celebrating Kristen and David’s love for each other and their marriage in Annapolis, on the water. There is no better way!”
